MM2H Visa Renewal

After the 5-year validity period of your MM2H visa expires, it is possible to renew for another 5 years. Approval is determined by the Ministry of Tourism.

Those who already hold MM2H visas under the old conditions can basically renew under the same old conditions. However, since late April 2022, renewals are for 5 years.

5-Year Visa Renewal Process

The renewal procedure requires two trips to Malaysia (1st: application, 2nd: issuance).

Currently, renewal applications can be submitted 6 months before the 10-year (or 5-year) visa expires.
