S-MM2H – The Long-stay visa option for East Malaysia

About the Sarawak MM2H Visa (SMM2H)
-
The Sarawak–Malaysia My Second Home Program (S-MM2H) is a visa scheme issued by the state of Sarawak. It allows foreign nationals aged 30 and above from countries that have diplomatic relations with Malaysia to apply. Once approved, applicants can reside in Malaysia for an extended period.
-
Upon obtaining this visa, the holder is granted a 10-year visa (5 years + 5 years) that allows unlimited entry and exit to and from Malaysia. After 10 years, reapplication is required based on the conditions at that time.
-
Under this program, the principal applicant may bring dependents, including a spouse, unmarried children under the age of 21, and the parents of the principal applicant.
-
Since the S-MM2H program does not allow for the addition of dependents after approval, it is strongly recommended that any dependents intending to apply under S-MM2H be included in the initial application.
-
The Sarawak MM2H program requires a minimum stay of 30 days per year in Sarawak.
For those under the age of 60, it is mandatory to have insurance coverage for the duration of the visa. (An insurance agency in Sarawak must be used.)
