MM2H: Procedures for Visa Renewal

After 5 years validity period of the MM2H visa, it is possible to renew it for another 5 years. However, approval for the renewal is subject to the discretion of the Ministry of Tourism.

For those who already hold an MM2H visa under the previous conditions, renewal can generally be done under the same terms. However, please note that since late April 2022, the renewal period has been set to 5 years.

MM2H：Visa 5 Years Renewal Procedures

Need to travel to Malaysia twice for the renewal process (First time for the application submission, second time for the visa issuance)

Currently can apply renewal 6 months before the expiration of your 10 years (or 5 years) visa.

STEP 1 Contact Our Company

Submit MM2H Renewal Application Documents for Our Internal Review

As part of the MM2H renewal process, our company will continue to act as your sponsor in Malaysia for an additional five years. Therefore, we require you to submit the renewal application form, consent form, and related documents.
 

STEP 2

 Payment Of Agency Supporting Fee

Pay for Agent Support fee and arrange the date for your renewal process.
STEP 3 First Flight to Malaysia: Preparation of Required Documents for Visa Renewal

  • Copy of all Passport & Visa Pages　●Approval Letter　 ●Basic medical check in Malaysia
  • Documents issued by the bank which your fixed deposit placed　●Proof of Insurance（under 60 years old）●Blue back ground passport size photo x 2（3.5ｘ5.0cm）
  • If spouse renew：Marriage Cert（Eng）●If Children renew：Birth cert（Eng）●Other Documents Will Be Prepared By Our Company (only your signature will be required.）
STEP 4 Review By The Ministry of Tourism

Our staff will submit the renewal application to the Ministry of Tourism on your behalf.

The review process takes approximately 1 to 3 months. Once the 5 years Approval Letter is issued, we will contact you promptly.
STEP 5 Second Flight to Malaysia: Visa Renewal Issuance Procedure

Visit one of our branches in Malaysia to submit original passport and pay the visa fee.

Our staff will then complete the visa issuance procedure on your behalf at the Ministry of Tourism.
STEP 6 Returning Documents

Once the procedure is complete, we will contact you and return the passport along with the visa fee receipt.

  • MM2H Visa　RM500　ｘ　Visa remaining period
  • Journey Performed Visa RM500 (for expired visa holders only)
  • Please ensure that you complete the renewal procedures in Malaysia before the expiration date of your MM2H visa as stated in your passport.
    If the visa expires, you will be required to pay the Journey Performed Visa fee of RM500 again.


  • Please note that the Malaysian government (Immigration Department) may suddenly change the application requirements or the list of required documents. Even after your application has been submitted, if there are changes to the requirements, your application will, in principle, be processed based on the revised conditions. As a result, you may be required to submit additional documents. We kindly ask for your understanding that our company cannot be held responsible for any such changes made by the government.

For customers staying outside of Kuala Lumpur within Malaysia

※Customer is required to enter Malaysia for the Renewal procedure.

Except Kuala Lumpur, our company also have branches in Penang and Johor Bahru. Customers who are unable to visit the Kuala Lumpur branch can apply visa balance procedures through the Penang or Johor Bahru branch.

Our Penang and Johor branches will collect your signatures on the required documents, your old and new passports, and the visa fee. The collected documents will then be sent to our Kuala Lumpur branch via DHL. DHL’s secure delivery service for valuables is highly reliable, and to date, there have been no cases of lost items. However, please note that we are not take responsibility for any issues that may arise during DHL’s handling.

The delivery fee will be RM200 for round-trip service. We kindly ask for your consideration.
