S-MM2H & Other Visas
Information about S-MM2H, Residence Pass, Digital Nomad Visa and other visa options.
In addition to the Federal MM2H, Malaysia offers various long-term stay visas including Sarawak’s own S-MM2H, Residence Pass, and Digital Nomad Visa.
About S-MM2H (Sarawak MM2H)

- The Sarawak Malaysia My Second Home Programme (S-MM2H) is a visa system issued by Sarawak State. Foreigners aged 30 and above from countries with diplomatic relations with Malaysia can apply, and upon approval, can live in Malaysia for an extended period.
- Upon obtaining this visa, you receive a 10-year visa (5+5 years) that allows unlimited entry and exit to Malaysia. After 10 years, reapplication is required under the conditions at that time.
- Under this program, applicants can bring their spouse, unmarried children under 21, and the principal’s parents as dependents.
- S-MM2H does not allow additional dependent applications mid-term, so if dependents are considering S-MM2H application, we recommend applying together at the time of initial application.
- The Sarawak MM2H program requires a minimum stay of 30 days per year in Sarawak.
- Those under 60 years old must maintain insurance for the duration of visa validity (using a Sarawak state insurance agent).
