Overstay Management Programme for the Regulated Sector (PTSK)

This is a reminder to our valued clients that the Government of Malaysia has allowed foreign nationals who have overstayed for not more than ninety (90) days to be compounded without prosecution under the Program Pengurusan Tinggal Lebih Masa Sektor Kawalan (PTSK).

  • Foreign nationals who have overstayed NOT MORE than 90 days
  • Holders of any of the following valid passes:
    • Social Visit Pass
    • Long-term Social Visit Pass
    • Student Pass
    • Employment / Dependant / Resident / Talent Pass
    • Temporary Work Visit Pass (PLKS)
    • Professional Visit Pass

  • Overstayed MORE than 90 days
  • Repeat offenders (those whi have previously participated in the PTSK programme)
  • Has a criminal record / listed as suspect / involved in court proceedings / wanted by other enforcement agencies

Steps to apply for PTSK

  • Visit the nearest Immigration Office
  • Bring original passport & travel ticket (if any)
  • Office will verify and issue the compound
  • Same-day payment is required
  • A Special Pass will be issued (if necessary, validity ≤ 30 days)
  • Offenders may apply for pass renewal after compound payment, if eligible

  • Only overstay cases are allowed under this program.
  • Each case is subject to verification and approval by immigration officers.
  • No appeal for compound reduction is allowed.
  • Full payment must be made on the same day (no deferred payment allowed).

The implementation of PTSK begins on 26 September 2025 at the Immigration Headquarters, Putrajaya as a pilot project, before nationwide rollout.
